The 10th anniversary of the Kohler Food & Wine Experience is now just a happy memory. For three glorious days, a sell-out crowd of foodies joined some of the leading lights from the worlds of beer, wine, spirits and gourmet cuisine for a chance to taste, sip and sample themselves silly in and around Kohlers American Club Resort. Now its over, and the festival tents have been lowered, the glasses and stemware washed and packed away, and the slew of culinary stars have returned to their individual home orbits.
The Gourmet Marketplace took on an Identity of its own when the Pasture To Plate staff, accompanied by Celebrity Chef Bob Waggoner and Hudson Valleys Rick Bishop took the venue to new heights of epicurean delicacies with samplings of Kobe (Wagyu) Beef, Foie Gras, Gourmet Oils and Vinegars, Australian Lamb Chops, Pheasant Pot Pies and a slew of Truffle Products that would make any Gourmand jealous.
The Weekend Events were capped with the Ultimate Tailgate Party that can only be described as a Party to remember. Pasture to Plate, served up Foot Long Kobe Hot Dogs and 10oz. Kobe Steak Burgers. As fast as they came off the grill the crowd gobbled them up and came back for more. The referee staff from P2P also raised money for a local food bank by having the dazzling girls sell raffle tickets as Bob Waggoner MCd the event.Good food and drink are best enjoyed when shared, and that understanding of fellowship touched every moment of this past weekend. We can't wait for 2011!
